Homebased – Lojosi

Still basking in the euphoria of the successes of his recent singles, which have continued to enjoy massive airplay both home and abroad, Afro singer, Emmanuel Anjorin, better known as Homebased, seems not relenting in revving up his game. He has proven to his fans and the industry critics that he truly got it inside of him.

The hitmaker has given music lovers a vibe that will last long and since its release, yesterday, ‘Lojosi’, the much-anticipated track, has attracted so many reactions, most of which are good recommendations and expression of excitements. The vibe was indeed a nice follow-up, some fans believed.

Asked what inspired the much-appreciated tune, he explained thus: “Lojosi is Yoruba word which means previously or before. This song has a deep message and drops on the 23rd of October. I’m sure most people can relate to it.

He continued: “There must be a point In everyone’s life when people doubted them or try to discourage them from chasing their dreams or perhaps saying you can’t do something or blatantly saying you won’t succeed at something you believe in.”

He proceeded to share what the song bordered on and the message embedded in it. “So the song touches on someone who has now gone far and beyond by ignoring all the naysayers and achieved success. Then in turn decided to remind them. Kind of a sarcastic “thank you”. I think the message here is that don’t ever listen to negative people and naysayers. Follow your dream and passion to the end. Naysayers will always find a way back once you have made it.”

He, however, revealed that he has just finished the last track in his coming Spur Me on EP. The track, Let’s Dance, according to him promises a true dance vibe compared to his usual chilled vibes and fans should get their dancing shoes ready.

Phizbarz - Mr Officer

Phizbarz - Mr Officer

Following the unjustified killing of the Nigerian youth by the Law enforcement agencies who put a target on their heads for being young, smart and innovative. As a matter of fact, for whatever reason they deem fit, the Nigerian youths in solidarity against police brutality, bad governance seized major motorable roads in different parts of the country for 12 days peacefully until they were forced to retreat via violence, and the infringement on their fundamental human rights with lots of lives lost.

Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer, Phizbarz has highlighted some of the challenges of the Nigerian youths in his new single Mr. officer.
With lyrics that describe how the Nigerian youths are treated like strangers in their fathers’ land by the officers who should protect them and the use of electronic devices and gadgets (laptop & iPhones) being contraband, being profiled as criminals for dreadlocks, and many more.

This is a song worth listening to as most Nigerians can relate to it perfectly, especially in our time of despair and pandemonium.

The song is produced by Phizbarz himself while mixed and mastered by Synx.

United we stand and divided we fall as well as a man who stands for nothing falls for anything, the true definition of #mrofficer.

FEYISAYO ADENIYI is an integral part of Itire. He identified with the community during good and tough times. It is instructive to note that he provided palliatives in the sizable form in the peak of COVID-19 to the community. It is impossible to make an environment where he does business unfriendly. It is also foolhardy to speak at a protest where he has evil intent which is where the mischief-maker got it wrong.Mr. Adeniyi was present at a protest, knowing how sensitive the area is, and gave a speech of peace. He pleaded for peace and promised to give the protesters N100k by providing meals and water on the premise of a peaceful protest. Please see the video for your perusal. One would think that he should be encouraged and appreciated as against assassinating his character.
