Download Album: Kendrick Lamar – DAMN Album

TDE gave us some false hope when Kendrick Lamar’s new album didn’t end up coming out on April 7th as implied by the man himself on ‘The Heart Part 4’ but instead we did get the pre-order and announcement that the album would be out the following Friday.
At that time, the album simply went by the name “ALBUM” on the iTunes store, leaving us wondering whether that would be the actual title. Now just three days away from the release, Kendrick has taken to Instagram to reveal the artwork, title and tracklisting for the highly anticipated LP that hits stores April 14th — technically around 11 pm ET on Thursday night (April 13).

His third major release is simply titled DAMN. and will feature two guests in U2 and Rihanna. Check out the tracklisting below. K. Dot’s lead single ‘HUMBLE.’ has stormed in at the #2 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 this week.

Kendrick Lamar is Better Than Drake ‘His Lyrics, Last Album…Was Outstanding.’ – Obama Declares

President of the United States Barack Obama declared Kendrick Lamar a better rapper than his Canadian counterpart, Drake. Presidential Endorsement!!

Obama made this proclamation during a Youtube Q&A, where he entertained questions ranging from hip-hop to movies. “[I] gotta go with Kendrick,” he said as he responded to the question from interviewer Adande Thorne who showed him a side-by-side photo of the two rappers. “I think Drake is an outstanding entertainer, Kendrick… his lyrics, his last album, was outstanding. best album, I think, of last year.

But Obama has always been a Lamar fan. Rollingstone reports that last year, the outgoing president listed some of his favourite songs of 2015 which Lamar’s ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ came tops. Days ago, too, the rapper visited the president at the Oval Office where they discussed the ‘Pay It Forward’ initiative.

Meanwhile, this declaration may be heartwarming for American rapper Meek Mill whose songs were banned from Toronto Raptor’s locker room due to the feud between him and their brand ambassador, Drake.

Kendrick Lamar Won’t Pick My Calls – Wale Laments

Wale has never been one to take a lack of recognition well. With his infamous phone call to Complex

being the prime example, the MMG rapper has always been vocal when he feels he’s been overlooked.

The Grammy nominations were announced today, and once again, Wale’s name was not among those honored. Rather than calling up the decision makers, Folarin has instead taken to Twitter to muse on being unappreciated, responding to fans and haters alike with sarcastic comments about how he doesn’t deserve an award.

“Wale sucks . And isn’t associated with the N!ggas who run music,” the rapper told a user who asked him why he hadn’t been nominated.”‘New black soul’ unless ur Wale then it’s too many instruments and hard to understand,” he wrote, possibly referring to Kendrick Lamar’s new album, which earned multiple nominations.

When asked about K-Dot, Wale revealed that he’d been trying to contact Lamar to no avail. “Ain’t answered that phone since the last nomination . I get the Demi lavato treatment from him now. It’s hard out here,” he shared, referencing his recent attempts to get on a track with Demi, which have also been greeted with silence.

Check out his tweets below. Do you think Wale should have got some noms? Which category would you have liked to see him in?

Not in a million years “@Swoosh163: Sorry @drdre but @Wale album about nothing deserves to be up there over Compton”
