One beautiful lie,
A bitter truth
Not everyone is ready to accept.
Life is pure emptiness
An euphemism for opaque vanity
We all were born just to die and laid to rest
No one is ever a testimony
After decades yet gone..
All we do is cry and shout “He’s gone”
We fight, fail,mourn, get paid
We eat, drink, fall sick, get laid..
Amass treasures on Hunt’s
Derive pleasures with glowing Grunts..
All are efforts towards that treasonable end
Death hangs on us all like flies whose feathers got stuck in the muds..
That horrible rain of pains & sorrows that seizes not to fall all day long
Tearing our bodies apart like swords…
The benign atmosphere thats looks palpable But disastrous
Spreads its wings like wildfire running through our souls deep,
She is monstrous..
Never departs, becomes clingy till it fades into shaded dark that never saves..
Voices that lingers long after they were heard
Names that flourishes even in the darkest of graves..
The beautiful hands of death always wide open to willingly accept its prey
Everyone wants it to appear at nights and not in our day..
Bid you goodbye Mohammed Ali
You left us all in awe like Mandela and Stella
The name Amodu & Keshi quivers
I pause to say
As our days mean living long and old
So our nights mean we all ready and cold..
RIP OJB Jazreel
You are that sharp pain in my veins hence in respect I kneel..
This June so many stars fallen
But sure many more stars will rise sudden..
