Four students of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Ojeere, Abeokuta, have reportedly lost their lives in a clashes between the Eiye and Bucaneer cult groups.

Four students of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Ojeere, Abeokuta, have met their untimely deaths following a secret cult clash between the Eiye and Bucaneer and confraternity.
According to media reports, the victims were killed at different places at different times of the day with linkages with the ongoing cult conflicts in the school.
The victims included an ND II student of Computer Engineering, Muraina Ibrahim, who goes by the alias Elebe and an ND II student of Mass Communication simply identified as Demola.
Elebe met his end last Wednesday along the well-known Sap route while Demola was murdered in cold-blood last Saturday along Fowobi area. The other victims were also murdered at Mango and Iyana Oloke areas of Abeokuta.The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Muyiwa Adejobi, was quoted as saying nine students were being held in connection with the killings.
According to him, they are currently being interrogated. Those found guilty will be paraded for the general public. Meanwhile the students of Mapoly have been protesting about the indiscriminate arrests of students made by the police.
